Phoniatrics and Ronchopathy

Activities and Capabilities

The Laboratory of Phoniatrics and Ronchopathy is a modern scientific and practical unit specializing in the study, diagnosis, and treatment of functional disorders of the vocal apparatus and upper respiratory tract.

Main areas include scientific research of dysphonia, aphonia, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome, analysis of clinical course, and implementation of modern treatment methods.

Modern endoscopic and functional diagnostic methods are applied. Scientific research, grant projects, and professional training programs are actively conducted.

Key Achievements & Results

In 2024–2025, the laboratory actively developed in scientific and clinical directions.

One grant project was developed. Six scientific articles and two theses were published.

Significant results were achieved in diagnosis and treatment of voice and breathing disorders.

Physiology and Pathology of Hearing and Balance Organs

Activities and Capabilities

The Laboratory of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing and Balance Organs is a modern scientific and practical unit specializing in the study, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the auditory analyzer and vestibular system.

The laboratory focuses on comprehensive management of hearing loss, tinnitus, vertigo, and balance disorders in both children and adults.

Main areas of activity include:

Scientific study of acute and chronic sensorineural, conductive, and mixed hearing loss.

Identification of causes of vestibular disorders.

Functional and instrumental assessment of hearing and balance.

Analysis of clinical course and complications.

Implementation of modern conservative, rehabilitation, and invasive treatment methods.

Advanced audiological and vestibulological diagnostic techniques such as tonal and speech audiometry, impedance testing, otoacoustic emissions, ABR, VNG, and vHIT are applied.

Scientific research, dissertation projects, and professional training programs are actively conducted.

Key Achievements & Results

During the reporting period, scientific research was conducted by two independent researchers.

One scientific meeting, one international conference, and four practical master classes were organized.

Four professional development courses were conducted.

Within the framework of a public health campaign, free screenings were organized.

Fifteen cochlear implantation surgeries were performed.

One grant project is under development.

Four scientific articles and four theses were published.

Physiology and Pathology of Upper Respiratory Tract

Activities and Capabilities

This laboratory operates on the basis of RIO and BBKIATM and is a specialized scientific and practical unit focused on studying clinical and pathogenetic mechanisms of upper respiratory tract diseases, as well as improving modern diagnostic and treatment approaches.

The laboratory conducts in-depth analysis of physiological and pathological conditions of the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses, pharynx and larynx. Acute and chronic inflammatory processes, functional disorders and complication mechanisms are scientifically investigated.

Key Achievements & Results

In 2024-2025 the laboratory conducted scientific and practical research aimed at improving diagnostics and treatment of upper respiratory tract diseases.

Two relevant grant projects related to molecular-genetic factors were developed.
